Global Director of Sales
The Global Director of Sales drives revenue growth in Americas and Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) regions by defining, implementing and overseeing sales strategies and disciplines in coordination with strategic key accounts. This leadership position will supervise a team of direct reports in both Sales and Customer Service with significant budget responsibility in the Specialty Engineered Materials (SEM) business segment.
Responsibilities include coaching a sales team to sell at all levels of management, building relationships that secure first and last look, employing customer‑centric selling approaches to deliver the value of our specialty materials and services in industrial market applications, and assisting customers in problem‑solving to deliver effective solutions. The role requires a thought‑leader who performs independently and can influence all levels of the organization, including VP/GM level, and a willingness to travel up to 75% of the time.
- Lead international Sales and Customer Service teams to manage key customer relationships and surpass sales goals
- Collaborate with cross‑functional leaders to deliver business objectives
- Deliver profitable, year‑over‑year revenue growth through new business development and protection of core business and maintain a proven track record of growing a business
- Expertise in sales transformation, organizational development and creating/executing roadmaps for improvement
- Approach the sales process with professionalism and effectiveness using customer‑centric selling skills and tools such as scorecards, account plans, business reviews, prospecting & new account calls, robust funnel management, business risk management, and effective CRM system management
- Create an environment where a highly motivated, engaged team of Sales & Customer Service professionals thrives
- Coach, mentor and develop direct reports
- Develop highly productive relationships with key customers, suppliers and internal contacts
- Strategically plan to develop and execute global sales strategies, annual operating plans and business plans to increase market share and profitability
- Demonstrate strong business acumen to manage a P&L, working capital, profitability, etc., and develop a budget, operating plan and goals for Sales and Customer Service teams aligned with annual commitments
- Develop and achieve quarterly/annual sales targets, providing accurate pipeline forecasts and analysis to leadership
- Serve as a key enabler of market intelligence by monitoring industry trends, competitor activities and technical developments to adjust sales, pricing and product strategies in coordination with Marketing
- Act as a member of the Commercial Leadership team in meetings and cross‑company projects
- Communicate marketing activities to global sales, customer service, global partners and manufacturing to ensure smooth transition of strategy to action

Education- Bachelor’s – Chemistry, Business, Marketing or equivalent experience
