This is not a standard warehouse position, and there will be no forklift operations. The work environment is office-style.
Must Haves- No less than one year experience in material handling/managing inventory
- Proficiency in Outlook, Data Entry, Teams, and Excel (very important)
- Customer service experience (front-facing, professional, well-groomed hygiene)
Successful candidates may have worked at Lowe's, Home Depot, O'Reilly's, etc.
Role OverviewThe position ensures continuity of stockroom operations and proactively addresses potential personnel gaps during standard business hours. It provides critical on-site coverage to support daily material and inventory activities, particularly when material handlers are unavailable due to unplanned absences or callouts. By maintaining consistent staffing coverage, this role helps ensure that operational commitments are met, service levels are maintained, and business disruptions are minimized throughout the workweek.
GeneralResponsibilities
The role is responsible for a broad range of stockroom and inventory management activities, including:
- Processing outgoing cleans
- Supporting cycle counting initiatives
- Assisting with incoming receipts
- Receiving and stocking materials
- Managing return to stock transactions
- Fulfilling crib requests
- Performing general parts management duties
- Non-Moving Pull and Staging
These responsibilities collectively support accurate inventory flow, timely material availability, and adherence to established warehouse controls.
Primary/Key Scope of WorkThe core function of this role is the execution of cycle counts to maintain inventory accuracy and system integrity. This includes performing daily scheduled cycle counts, reconciling physical inventory against system records, organizing locations, and investigating discrepancies. Variances with an extended value of
*** or greater are escalated to the Stockroom Lead and Manager for review. All inventory adjustments meeting or exceeding this threshold are formally reported and reviewed by both the NXP Cost Manager and Finance team on a monthly basis.
The role supports accurate receiving, stocking, issuing, and reverse issuing of materials, ensuring compliance with internal controls and financial requirements. Approximately 1,000 SKUs are cycle counted each month using a structured methodology designed to achieve a minimum of 100% inventory coverage with an accuracy goal of 98%.
