Material Handler Forklift Operator Job Description
This position is for a Warehouse Associate and sit-down forklift driver at a supply store located within the industrial park near the Domain. The role involves fulfilling orders for commercial and industrial customers, interacting occasionally with customers, vendors, and truck drivers during the loading and unloading of vehicles.
Responsibilities- Drive a sit-down forklift to load and unload trucks and stock shelves.
- Operate a sit-down clamp truck as required.
- Use a pallet jack to move materials throughout the warehouse.
- Utilize a scan gun to pick materials and verify accurate inventory tracking.
- Operate computers to verify the accuracy of orders and deliveries.
- Research inventory on supplier/vendor websites when materials are not in stock.
- 2+ years of experience driving a sit-down forklift.
- Proficiency in using a scan gun.
- Basic computer skills and the ability to use basic computer programs.
- Professional interaction with customers and truck drivers.
Skills & Qualifications
- Experience operating a sit-down clamp truck is preferred.
- Familiarity with navigating supplier inventory sites is preferred.
This is a contract-to-hire position offering good pay potential, starting at $20-$22. Enjoy benefits through Aerotek during the contract period and through Trane upon conversion. Benefit from a day shift opportunity, Monday to Friday, with minimal weekend work and limited overtime.
Work EnvironmentWork at a Trane Supply Store location in a smaller, climate-regulated warehouse with a small team. The facility may be warm in summers and cold in winters. The position offers a day shift from Monday to Friday, 8am-5pm with an hour for lunch. More opportunities for overtime are available in the summer, potentially requiring an earlier start time or a half-day on the weekend.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
