Position Description POSITION SUMMARYThe 1st Assistant Golf Professional will assist the Head Golf Professional in managing the golf facility in an efficient, high-quality, service‑orientated manner. This position will report to the Director of Golf and General Manager.
EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND SKILLS REQUIRED- Must partner with management to promote and operate facility in a way to drive revenue.
- 2-3 years of golf industry experience
- Leadership skills; the ability to lead people
- Strong customer orientation
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Management: the ability to organize and manage multiple priorities
- Basic computer proficiency and skills
- PGA apprentice or member preferred
- High Volume Golf Facility Experience
- Supervise Pro Shop Staff and Outside Services Staff
- Trains new Pro Shop Staff and Outside Services Staff
- Monitors guest experience and takes appropriate action to assure the best customer service
- Coordinates and administers the daily work schedule of the pro shop staff and outside services staff
- Manages the staff in their maintenance of daily cash receipts and accounts receivable charges
- Assist in developing and managing an innovative tournament program that services all members and outside play
- Assist with golf instruction & golfer development programs, including PGA Jr League
- Assist in administering all daily operations including, but not limited to: facilitating sales, assisting with merchandise, operating POS system, managing handicap and tee sheet applications, acts as ranger, starter, guest relations, outside service or golf shop shifts.
- Performs other duties as required under the direction of the head golf professional and general manager.

- Valid Driver’s License.

- Must be professional in appearance and demeanor.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule that may include evenings, weekends and holidays.
- Must have the ability to deal effectively and interact well with the guests and associates.
- Must have the ability to resolve problems/conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner.
