This is a direct hire role with an Autonomous vehicle and robotics company based in Austin, TX. Candidates in need of sponsorship will be considered.

This role is focused on developing and maintaining custom Linux-based systems that power advanced embedded platforms used in autonomous technology. We’re looking for an engineer with strong experience working directly with the
* Linux kernel*, performing
* board bring-up on custom hardware*, and building/debugging
* Linux device drivers in C++
* for ARM-based systems. You’ll collaborate closely with hardware and sensor teams to support real-time, safety-critical embedded environments.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of embedded software experience, deep proficiency in
* C/C++*, and hands-on expertise developing device drivers for interfaces such as SPI, I2C, PCIe, Ethernet, CAN, and UART.

Experience with preempt rt, low-latency systems, and debugging at the hardware/software boundary is key.

Prior linux kernel embedded experience with sensor systems (cameras, lidars or radars) is preferred. xrlwcon
