Client has been doing in-house, native mobile development for several years but every business channel in client is increasing their presence on the mobile platform. We are looking to grow a robust, engaged mobile development team that is passionate about delivering an excellent mobile experience for our users. client's ever growing mobile user base is asking for more features and more and interesting visualizations and interactions.

As a Senior Android Developer, you will be responsible for leading the development efforts and providing guidance to the engineering team across client's suite of mobile applications for Retail, Retirement, and Intelligent Assistant. You will participate in design discussions as well as mentor and remove roadblocks for engineers on the team.

What you are good at

- Working closely with senior stakeholders to understand business requirements and help translate these into technical requirements for the development team

- Directing the development team in the design, development, coding, testing, and debugging of applications

- In-depth knowledge of current technological trends, developments, and best practices in information security, wireless network architecture, technologies, and concepts.

- Knowledge on integrating feature flagging tools such as Launch Darkly and Optimizely.

- Experience with implementing unit test cases using Expresso, Gerkhin, Mokito, Mock etc. tools

- Familiar with analytics tools such as Adobe, Mixpanel, Amplitude, Apps Flyer etc.

- Experience with code repository tools such as GIT, Bit Bucket, SVN etc

- Exceptional OO design and development skills

What you have

- BS degree in Computer Science or related field

- 7+ years of Android development experience with team leadership experience

- Extensive experience developing complex Android applications in an enterprise environment

- Robust problem-solving skills and deep experience coaching and mentoring junior developers

- Experience with REST, JSON, XML and interfacing Android applications to server-side APIs.

- Proficiency with Kotlin

- Solid grasp of algorithms, memory management, and real-time communications

- Familiarity with Agile practices

- Hands-on experience supporting multiple versions of Android SDKs, screen resolutions and device types.

- An expert understanding of the Android SDK and NDK
