Full Stack Engineer

We are seeking a Senior Fullstack Engineer with 5‑10 years of experience to join our core engineering team in Austin, Texas (we will consider exceptional candidates in other locations). You will work autonomously to design, build, and deploy production‑ready features across our entire stack—from data pipelines and optimization engines to modern web interfaces used by airline maintenance planners. This role requires minimal oversight.

You will own features end‑to‑end, collaborate directly with product and customer teams, and make architectural decisions that scale.

• Design and implement user‑facing features across the full stack, from conception to production deployment
• Build scalable backend systems that ingest and process maintenance data from MRO systems (Trax, AMOS) and other airline data sources
• Develop responsive, performant frontend interfaces in Next.js that handle complex operational workflows
• Integrate with and extend our optimization engine (Mixed Integer Programming models) and ML infrastructure
• Design and optimise SQL queries and data models for performance and reliability
• Work with AWS infrastructure, Databricks, and Snowflake to build robust data pipelines
• Write comprehensive tests and maintain high code quality standards
• Participate in technical design discussions and contribute to system architecture decisions

Required:

• 5‑10 years of professional software engineering experience
• Strong proficiency in Python and Java script/Typescript
• Strong SQL skills and experience working with complex queries, schema design, and large analytical datasets
• Experience building and deploying production systems on AWS
• Proven ability to work independently with minimal oversight on complex technical problems
• Strong understanding of backend architecture, APIs, and database design
• Experience with data‑intensive applications and processing large datasets
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across product, data science, and customer teams

Preferred:

• Experience with Databricks, Snowflake, or similar data platforms
• Familiarity with optimization algorithms, ML infrastructure, or operations research
• Background in aviation, logistics, supply chain, or other complex operational domains
• Experience with Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and modern Dev Ops practices
• Experience integrating with third‑party APIs and legacy systems

• Backend: Python, AWS (ECS Fargate, Postgresql, Lambda)
• Data Platform: Databricks, Snowflake, AWS
• Optimization: Mixed Integer Programming models, ML/AI
• Integrations: Trax MRO, AMOS, Roster Apps, flight scheduling systems

Austin, Texas preferred. This role is in office 3x per week. We will consider exceptional candidates in other locations.
