Data Engineer
Akkodis is seeking a Data Engineer for a Contract with a client in Austin, TX
. This role requires strong expertise in complex SQL, ETL, and Snowflake performance optimization as a core qualification.
Rate Range: $53/hour to $56/hour;
The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Job Responsibilities Include
- Write, optimize, and maintain complex SQL queries, including joins, recursive queries, materialized views, and performance‑tuned data transformations.
- Design and develop ETL pipelines and dimensional data models (including SCD Types 1, 2, and
3) for scalable analytics solutions. - Build and automate data pipelines using Python, Airflow, and Data Lab while integrating with Data Lake environments such as S3.
- Design, develop, and optimize Snowflake solutions, including schema architecture, performance tuning, clustering, and Snowpipe/SnowSQL workflows.
- Collaborate with offshore teams to deliver end‑to‑end project solutions and engage with business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical designs.
- Support advanced AI/LLM integrations by implementing RAG workflows, vector database structures, and orchestration frameworks like Lang Chain or Llama Index.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Data Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
- 6–8 years of hands‑on experience in data engineering, including SQL, ETL, Python, and cloud data platforms.
- Strong expertise in Snowflake architecture, performance optimization, and building scalable data solutions.
- Proven experience with dimensional data modeling (including SCD types), pipeline automation, and advanced AI/LLM integration such as RAG, vector databases, or orchestration frameworks (Lang Chain/Llama Index).

Pay Details:$53.00 to $56.00 per hour
