Technical Lead – Data Processing Infrastructure / Simulation & ML Platforms

We’re looking for a Technical Lead to define and scale a compute platform that powers simulation and ML teams for autonomous systems. This is a hands‑on leadership role where you’ll shape the strategy and implementation of data processing infrastructure handling petabytes of sensor data from cameras, lidars, radars, and other sensors.

• Own the end‑to‑end compute platform used by Simulation and ML teams.
• Collaborate closely with internal teams to understand requirements for large‑scale autonomous vehicle data.
• Prototype, build, and refine scalable compute solutions, ensuring low latency and high performance.
• Evaluate, integrate, and enhance open‑source and internal tools (e.g., Spark, Ray, Beam, Airflow, Argo).
• Lead, mentor, and coordinate engineering teams, providing guidance and documentation for platform adoption.
• Take ownership of platform strategy, balancing hands‑on development with leadership responsibilities.

• Strong proficiency in Python (required); C++ experience highly desirable.
• Hands‑on experience with distributed computing frameworks and workflow orchestration (Spark, Airflow, Ray, Beam, Argo, Kubernetes).
• Proven leadership in the architecture and development of large‑scale data processing infrastructure.
• Experience handling large‑scale data pipelines and understanding ML pipeline requirements.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Experience with sensor data from autonomous vehicles or robotics.
• Understanding of ML/AI and experience building ML pipelines.
• Experience optimizing performance and costs of distributed computing systems.
