The Ecosystem & Operational Risk team is responsible for building critical risk and fraud detection services s includes idea generation, architecture, design, development, and testing of products, applications, and services that provide solutions to detect, prevent, and mitigate fraud for Visa and its clients.
EssentialFunctions
- Collaborate with project team members (Product Managers, Architects, Analysts, Developers, Project Managers, etc.) to ensure development and implementation of new data‑driven business solutions.
- Drive end‑to‑end development effort for on‑time delivery of high quality solutions that conform to requirements, the architectural vision, and applicable standards.
- Collaborate with senior technical staff and PM to identify, document, plan contingency, track and manage risks and issues until all are resolved.
- Present technical solutions, capabilities, considerations, and features in business terms; effectively communicate status, issues, and risks in a timely manner.
- Engage in requirements definition and clarification with the business to ensure complete and common understanding of the business needs.
- Strong design and coding skills with Java/J2EE and mandatory experience with n‑tier web application development and REST APIs.
- Solid experience building enterprise applications using Spring Boot, Spring Batch, and Spring Security; front‑end development in React and integration of SOAP‑based services.
- Experience designing and implementing microservices using Spring Boot and REST APIs, ensuring modularity, scalability, security, and resilience.
- Working experience with Kafka, Redis, or No
SQL data stores is a plus. - Hands‑on experience with database technologies like MySQL, DB2, Oracle.
- Proficient in developing dynamic and responsive web applications using Angular, Type Script, Node.js, jQuery, and JavaScript.
- Knowledge of Unix/Linux and working in a shell environment.
- Experience with Continuous Integration & Development and automation tools such as Jenkins, Artifactory, Git, and containerization & orchestration technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience with Agile and Test‑Driven Development methodology.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to present complex ideas in a clear, concise way.
Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.
Travel Requirements: 5‑10% of the time.

The position will be performed in an office setting; incumbent will sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment such as telephones and computers.

QualificationsBasic Qualifications
5+ years of relevant work experience with a Bachelors Degree, or at least 2 years with an Advanced degree (e.g., Masters, MBA, JD, MD), or 0 years with a PhD.
Preferred Qualifications
6+ years of work experience with a Bachelors Degree, or 4+ years with an Advanced Degree, or up to 3 years with a PhD.
