Lutron has an immediate opening for a self‑motivated, highly technical .NET Desktop Application Software Engineer. You will be working on the Windows application that programs and starts up all of our lighting control systems. In this role you will have the opportunity to:
- Mentor junior engineers as they start their career with us
- Dive deeply into one of our software platforms
- Collaborate with Product Managers, Software Architects, and functional area owners to develop solutions that solve real problems
- Research emerging technologies to improve our software architecture
- Implement solutions, unit‑tests, and integration tests in collaboration with other developers
- Develop customer requirements with appropriate stakeholders
- Create system and software design documentation
- Work with senior engineers to review solutions
- Resolve technical issues, reported bugs, and field issues in a timely manner
- Identify and clean up technical debt
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Software Engineering
- Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 for all degrees earned
- 5+ years of professional industry experience
- Strong foundation in Object‑Oriented Principles and Design Patterns
- Experience with SQL or other relational databases
- Familiarity with Agile principles, including SAFe
- Experience with Bit Bucket, Jira, and Confluence
