OverviewRole Description
This is a full-time, on-site role based in Austin, TX. The Temp Social Worker will provide direct support, resources, and advocacy to individuals and families in need. This position would specifically be working with the Child Abuse and Sex Crimes Units. Responsibilities include conducting assessments, developing intervention plans, providing crisis intervention and support, and collaborating with law enforcement, community organizations, and other stakeholders to address social issues.
The Temp Social Worker will help bridge the gap between law enforcement and the community by fostering understanding and assisting individuals in accessing necessary resources and services.

- Strong foundation in Social Work, Counseling, or related fields.
- Experience with client assessment, case management, and intervention planning.
- Proficiency in crisis intervention, community resource coordination, and advocacy.
- Excellent communication, active listening, and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with diverse populations and stakeholders.
- Ability to manage sensitive situations with professionalism, empathy, and confidentiality.
- Flexibility to adapt to a dynamic environment and problem-solving abilities.
- Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Social Work or a closely related field. Licensure as a Social Worker (LMSW, LCSW, or equivalent) is preferred.
- Familiarity with social issues prevalent in the Austin community is a plus.
