Position: Mobile Facilities Technician (North/Central Austin, Tx)

About the Role:

As a CBRE Mobile Technician, you will support our extensive portfolio of 42 clinics across the Central Austin area. This role involves performing a wide range of maintenance tasks, both preventive and corrective, ensuring the optimal functionality and appearance of our facilities. The ideal candidate will be client-facing, proficient in various maintenance disciplines, and comfortable traveling between multiple sites on a daily basis.

This job is part of the Engineering and Technical Services job function. You are responsible for providing support, preventive maintenance, and repairs on equipment and systems.

What You’ll Do:

  • Perform diverse maintenance tasks including, but not limited to, HVAC system checks, lighting replacements, general repairs (e.g., hanging fixtures), and paint and patch work.

  • Travel extensively throughout the Central Austin portfolio, covering locations from Georgetown, TX, in the north to Kyle, TX, in the south.

  • Operate a company-provided vehicle to travel between job sites, ensuring its proper maintenance and care.

  • Park the company-provided vehicle at a designated facility near their residence for efficient access and storage.

  • Actively engage with clients daily, providing professional and courteous service.

  • Manage and complete assigned work orders efficiently and effectively within established timelines.

  • Utilize a Computerized Maintenance Management System for tracking, completing, and documenting all maintenance activities.

  • Conduct thorough preventive maintenance and corrective maintenance on various facility equipment.

  • Execute a monthly PM schedule at each assigned site to ensure consistent upkeep.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to HVAC systems, electrical components, and other general facilities equipment.

  • Participate in a rotating on-call schedule, providing support for one week every three weeks.

  • Use existing procedures to solve straightforward problems while having a limited opportunity to exercise discretion.

  • Impact through clearly defined duties, methods, and tasks are described in detail.

  • Deliver own output by following defined procedures and processes under close supervision and guidance.

What You’ll Need:

  • High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 1-2 years of job-related experience. In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered. Valid Driver’s License required.

  • Proven experience in general facilities maintenance, including HVAC, electrical, and general repair work.

  • Strong troubleshooting skills for mechanical and electrical systems.

  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively across multiple sites.

  • Valid driver's license and a clean driving record are essential due to extensive travel requirements.

  • Ability to participate in a rotating on-call schedule.

  • Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.

  • Ability to follow basic work routines and standards in the application of work.

  • Communication skills to exchange straightforward information.

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.

  • Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.

  • Basic math skills. Ability to calculate simple figures such as percentages, discounts, and markups.
