Senior Data Center HVAC Installation & Commissioning Technician

We are looking for aSenior Data Center HVAC Installation & Commissioning Technician to support the delivery of cooling infrastructure for Tier III and Tier IV data centers across the United States.

This role is ideal for a hands‑on HVAC professional who enjoys complex systems, high standards and seeing their work directly impact uptime and performance.

The Role

As a Senior HVAC Technician, you serve as the technical lead during installation, startup, and commissioning of mission‑critical cooling systems. You ensure systems are installed to design intent, commissioned to performance standards, and transitioned smoothly into operations.

Your focus will include chillers, CRAH units, fan wall systems, RTUs, and associated mechanical infrastructure.

• Provide technical oversight during installation of chillers, CRAHs, fan walls, RTUs, pumps, piping, valves, and controls
• Verify installations against drawings, submittals, and manufacturer requirements
• Coordinate equipment placement, startup, and OEM activities
• Lead and support commissioning activities (Level 2 through Level
  5)
• Validate sequences of operation, controls logic, and BMS/SCADA integration
• Support redundancy and failover testing (N, N+1, 2N architectures)
• Support commissioning under live IT load and transition to operations
• Identify performance and energy optimization opportunities
• Act as the on‑site HVAC technical lead and mentor junior technicians
• Maintain accurate commissioning, testing, and turnover documentation
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and site safety requirements

• 7+ years of experience in HVAC installation and commissioning in mission‑critical or industrial environments
• Strong hands‑on experience with chillers, CRAH units, fan wall systems, and RTUs
• Demonstrated experience supporting Level 2–5 commissioning
• EPA Section 608 Certification (preferred)
• Strong troubleshooting and coordination skills
• Willingness to travel to remote sites as required
• Legally authorized to work in the United States
