Technicians need to be available to help pull cable and terminate keystone-style jacks at a large construction site.

The responsibilities of a cable tech will consist of:

• Pulling, terminating and testing Cat5/6 and fiber optic cables.
• Installing other cabling infrastructure (racks, cabinets, etc).
• Installing network racks and cabinets in server rooms.
• Reviewing all job documentation for assigned projects, including floor plans, equipment locations, reflected ceiling plans, conduit call‑outs, wall elevations, signal flow diagrams, and cable pull schedules.
• Installing CCTV, access control, and intrusion systems.

Physical demands: regular standing, climbing, walking, sitting, pushing, pulling, squatting, crawling, and stooping. The employee will regularly use hands to finger, handle, feel objects, and type on a keyboard; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Use of power tools is required to perform the position effectively.

The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

Must have personal protective equipment before starting work: hard hat with chin strap, safety glasses, steel‑toed shoes, and a vest.

Intermediate Level

Contract to Hire position based out of Austin, TX.

The pay range for this position is $24.00 – $27.00 per hour. Eligible benefits for this temporary role may include:
