Purpose Provide semi-skilled and installer helper level installation of Telecommunications cabling for the University of Texas ase describe the

Preferred Qualifications that you would like your UTemp to have:
Experience installing inside plant communications cabling and wireless access points. Experience in commercial construction work.## Responsibilities
* Install Telecom cabling in new and existing structures in enclosed and cramped spaces or at heights**.
** Operate mechanical and electrical equipment used in the installation of cabling in close proximity to high voltage and high pressure steam pipes.
* Complete Reports of time, materials, and other necessary items required for the assigned tasks.  Set up and dismantle equipment.  Operate a UT vehicle**.**##

Required Qualifications High School graduate or GED. Work constructively as a team member. Exercise good safety habits. Experience installing inside plant communications cabling and wireless access points. Experience in commercial construction work. Regular and punctual attendance.##

Experience in commercial construction work.## Driving Required This job requires a class "C" operator's driver's license. The applicant selected must provide a current three-year driving record from the current state of residence. If not currently a Texas resident, a Texas driver's license must be obtained within 30 days of becoming a Texas resident.

Employees who are required to have a CDL are subject to drug and alcohol testing (pre-employment, post-accident, reasonable suspicion, random, return-to-duty, and follow-up drug and alcohol testing).## Hourly Rate $20.00## Working Conditions
