The UGE Laborer/Groundman is responsible for preparing and cleaning construction sites, loading and unloading building materials, operating equipment, and assisting craft workers with their duties. This position supports the Construction team and collaborates with personnel within the department.

• Clean and prepare the construction site for work, removing debris and hazards.
• Assist tradesmen in completing their skilled tasks more effectively.
• Identify utilities and monitor digging to prevent utility hits.
• Clean up and maintain equipment.
• Restock trucks with supplies to ensure crews have the proper tools and materials to complete the job.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current and valid state driver’s license.

• 1 year of experience.
• Current and valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL).

This job operates in a field environment. It routinely requires bending, squatting, climbing, kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting, and twisting. It may involve working in inclement weather (extreme heat/cold, rain, snow, wind). Must be able to bend, lift, and carry up to 50 pounds. Visual clarity at various distances and color distinction are required. The position is physically active and may require standing for extended periods.
