About

The Role

As a Modular Installation Specialist at Z-Modular
, a division of Zekelman Industries
, you will play a key role in assisting with the installation, assembly, and repair of modular structures across the U.S. This position supports safe, high-quality project execution by helping ensure installations meet specifications, schedules, and site requirements. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on construction work, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is comfortable traveling extensively.

What You’ll Do
  • Assist with modular installation, assembly, and repairs at construction sites to meet specifications and deadlines.
  • Operate and maintain tools and equipment to support safe and efficient jobsite execution.
  • Identify and troubleshoot basic installation issues to minimize delays and maintain quality standards.
  • Collaborate with team members to meet project timelines and workmanship expectations.
  • Follow blueprints, detailed instructions, and safety protocols to complete installations accurately and safely.
  • Communicate progress, material needs, and jobsite issues to supervisors to support smooth workflow.
  • Travel extensively and work overtime, including weekends and holidays, to support project needs.
Who You Are
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Hands-on experience in a construction setting.
  • Carpentry skills and familiarity with hand and power tools.
  • Knowledge of modular construction and blueprint reading preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail with problem-solving and teamwork abilities.
  • Commitment to safety and adherence to worksite protocols.
Physical Abilities
  • Ability to lift up to 60 lbs.
  • Ability to work at heights and stand for extended periods.
  • Ability to work at active construction sites in varying weather conditions, noise, and dust.
  • Ability to work around machinery and production processes as needed.
  • Ability to wear required PPE such as hard hats, gloves, and safety glasses.

Compensation & Benefits

Below is the expected base hourly range for this position. This is a good-faith estimate, and offers will be determined based on experience, education, skill set, and interview performance.

  • Base Hourly Range: [$18.00–$25.00 USD]
