About the Role

Paladin Technologies is looking for two Level 2 Cable Technicians to support commercial construction projects across the Austin area. Candidates should have at least 2+ years of experience installing structured cabling infrastructure, including racks, cabinets, and Cat5/6 cabling.

Key Responsibilities

+ Pull, terminate, and test Cat5/6 and fiber optic cables

+ Install cabling infrastructure: racks, cabinets, patch panels, etc.

+ Install network racks and cabinets in server rooms

+ Review project documentation, including:

+ Floor plans and equipment locations

+ Reflected ceiling plans

+ Conduit call‑outs

+ Wall elevations

+ Signal flow diagrams

+ Cable pull schedules

+ Utilize hand and power tools effectively

+ Work in environments requiring climbing, kneeling, crawling, and lifting (up to 50 lbs)

Skills & Qualifications

+ 2+ years' experience installing cabling infrastructure (racks, cabinets, etc.)

+ Strong experience pulling, terminating, and testing Cat5/6

+ Reliable transportation

+ Must pass a driving check

+ Must pass a drug test

+ Strong communication skills and positive attitude

+ Required PPE on day one:

+ Hard hat with chin strap (no need for expensive models)

+ Safety glasses

+ Steel-toed boots

+ Safety vest

Work Environment

Technicians will work on active construction sites and may be exposed to:

+ Outdoor weather

+ Moderate noise levels

+ Confined spaces

+ Working at heights

Travel between job sites may be required.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $25.00/hr.
