RENDERING MAINTENANCE LEAD (THURSDAY TO SUNDAY 4PM TO 430AM)

MOPAC: MAINTENANCE LEAD PERSON (3RD SHIFT)

LOCATION:

JBS- MOPAC: RENDERING

• Oversee, coordinate and perform maintenance activities in the rendering plant to ensure equipment reliability, safe operations and continuous production flow
• Lead person: supervise and perform highly diversified duties with respect to production and facility equipment/systems
• Supervise and install replacement motors, pumps, drives, belts, filters, gears, chains, and valves on process equipment, facility equipment, and forklifts
• Troubleshoot pneumatic, electric, hydraulic machine problems and make necessary repairs
• Perform repairs to machines involving machine guarding, bolt replacement, and breakdowns due to mechanical wear
• Weld machine components
• Perform preventative maintenance tasks on facility equipment
• Handle installations, including hooking up air, water, gas, and the alignment and leveling of equipment
• In the event of electrical emergencies, hook up and start generation system safely
• Maintain the WWPT facility to operate within parameters safely
• Resolve maintenance and mechanical problems promptly with minimal disruption to production schedules
• Perform highly diversified duties to install and maintain facility grounds, building and other facility equipment
• Provide leadership for Maintenance technicians performing preventative maintenance, equipment installs, parts replacement, equipment troubleshooting, etc.
• Resolve all maintenance and mechanical problems promptly with minimal disruption to facility and production schedules
• Manage service and repair of refrigeration systems and equipment such as condensing units, compressors, and evaporators
• Manage outside contractors to perform repairs on failed machinery and equipment
• Understand the tools and equipment needed to do each job and determine when and what type of maintenance is needed
• Determine causes of operating errors and recognize when something is likely to go wrong before downtime occurs
• Inspect or test damaged machine parts and mark defective areas or advise supervisor of needs for repair
• Lead equipment installations, including hooking up air, water, gas, and the alignment and leveling of equipment
• Complete maintenance record keeping; keep records of all work performed; update maintenance history logs and complete required paperwork
• Account for equipment used for maintenance and repairs
• Understand and follow the company GMPs policy and safety rules
• May be required to work long hours and weekends as needed
• May assume other duties as assigned

• High School Diploma or equivalent certification
• At least 2 years of industrial maintenance experience required
• Strong electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, industrial, PLC and HVAC experience
• AAS degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial maintenance preferred
• Ability to speak, read, and write English
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Proficient in MS Office applications
• Good math skills
• Must be well-organized with good attention to detail
• Display strong work ethic and positive attitude
• Adaptable and dependable with ability to follow direction and work cooperatively with others
• Must maintain a helpful and professional attitude and appearance

• Very active position, requiring standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day
• Hearing:
