Performs highly skilled work in the installation, maintenance, servicing, and repair of utility systems to include heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC). Work may also involve general maintenance repair work. May serve as lead worker for a group of building trades employees. Employees at this level perform work independently on assignments; however, all unusual issues are referred to the supervisor.
Essential Duties· weekly walk-through of buildings to inspect operation of utility systems and related equipment.
Education: High School Grad or Equivalent in general high school studies.
Experience- 4 years of experience in installation hadn't. maintenance and repair of heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems, including 2 years of large system, maintenance, and repair of HVAC chiller systems up to 499 tons or larger and in the installation, operation, maintenance and repair of heating water or domestic hot water boiler systems that are up to 1,750,000 Gross BTU/hour-output or larger.
- PREFERRED experience in operation, maintenance, and repair of Building Automation systems (Experience can be satisfied by full time or prorated part time equivalent). Related college education or relevant technical training may be substituted for experience on a year per year basis. Substitutions for Minimum Qualifications.
- Valid driver’s license. This position requires driving a state vehicle.
- EPA Refrigerant Handling Cert Typ 2
- HVACR Contractors Lic
-Class B
