Installation Technician, Field/Service Technician
We are seeking an experienced Lead Security Systems Technician to oversee daily operations on commercial installation projects. This role involves coordinating technicians, submitting daily reports, and working closely with project managers to ensure successful completion of security system installations.
Key Responsibilities- Assign daily duties to technicians and ensure tasks are completed on schedule.
- Submit accurate daily reports and maintain project documentation.
- Coordinate with project managers and field technicians for scheduling and workflow.
- Pre‑wire and install security systems, including:
- Access control systems
- CCTV (IP and analog cameras) erection
- Intrusion alarms
- Install, test, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain security systems at customer sites. Components include:
- Access control panels
- Magnetic locks
- Card readers
- Motion sensors Door contacts
- Electric door strikes
Skills & Qualifications
- Expert‑level experience in access control, alarm installation, and CCTV systems
. - Ability to read and interpret floor plans, wiring diagrams, and project documentation.
- leadership and communication skills.
- Must have personal protective equipment (PPE) before starting:
- Hard hat with chin strap
- Safety glasses
- Steel‑toed shoes
- Safety vest
мэт - Ability to use power tools and work in physically demanding environments.
Regularly required to stand, climb, walk, sit, push, pull, squat, crawl, and stoop. Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs occasionally and 25 lbs frequently, and be comfortable working on ladders and in confined spaces. Specific vision abilities required: close vision, distance vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
Work EnvironmentCommercial installations including hospitals, airports, and corporate offices. Requires adherence to safety protocols and operational standards.
Job Type & LocationContract to Hire position based out of Austin, TX.
Pay and BenefitsPay range: $30.00 ‑ $35.00 hourly. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on job classification and length of employment. Benefits may change and are subject to specific elections, plans or program terms.
