State Fire is seeking an experienced, licensed Fire Alarm Technician/Journeyman Electrician to join our growing team in the Austin, TX region. As a regional leader in fire protection, we specialize in the installation, service, and maintenance of fire alarm systems, alarm monitoring, special hazard suppression systems, fire sprinklers, security systems, and more.

What Youll Do- Install, inspect, service, and maintain a variety of fire alarm systems.
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair systems as needed, including emergency or warranty calls.
- Perform scheduled maintenance and testing in accordance with NFPA and local standards.
- Coordinate work efficiently with project managers, property managers, and subcontractors.
- Maintain accurate documentation and follow all job site safety and compliance protocols.
- Occasionally travel to other regions based on project needs.

What You Bring
- 4+ years of experience in fire alarm or low-voltage systems preferred
- Hold current FAL license
- NICET Level I or higher certification preferred.
- Demonstrated reliability, strong work ethic, and attention to detail.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and system layouts.
- Strong technical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Must hold or be able to obtain any required state licensure within 90 days.
- Proficiency with standard and trade-specific tools and testing equipment.
- Ability to sit, stand, kneel, crouch, and climb for extended periods.
- Comfortable working at heights on ladders, scaffolding, and lifts.
- Safely lift and carry up to 70 pounds.
- Work effectively in both indoor and outdoor environments.
