SIC Ironworker (AUS SST GT)

Southern Industrial Constructors, Inc. seeks an experienced Ironworker for a project in Temple, TX.

• Assist in installing, maintaining and operating instruments and measuring devices needed for functional systems.
• Load, transport, unload, and furnish materials, tools, equipment, and supplies to experienced craft workers.
• Clean work area and restock supplies and materials as necessary.
• Perform work from scaffolding, ladders or other structures.
• Perform work overhead, at heights, beneath structures, and from various other positions as required by working conditions.
• Lift and carry objects of varying weights.
• Detect, recognize and respond to dangerous conditions or situations.
• Perform minor maintenance and cleaning activities of site, tools and equipment.
• Communicate verbally with craft supervisors and respond to questions from managers and fellow workers.
• Maintain regular attendance.
• Significant travel may be required.
• Perform other duties as required.

• Skilled in both written and verbal communication.
• Complete all safety and general job training as required by SIC.
• Observe SIC and Customer safety and quality processes and procedures at all times.

• Must effectively use all required PPE and lift up to fifty pounds.
• Work may occur in office, shop, busy traffic areas, warehouses, and undeveloped properties, with exposure to dirt, dust, grease, oil, vibrations, and adverse weather.
• Must safely access all areas of property, buildings, structures, wharves, rooftops, and other elevated positions, as well as confined spaces.
• Strenuous physical demands required to safely perform essential functions.
• Must safely operate all involved equipment and tools.
• Must stand for long periods, bend consistently, work in confined spaces with limited access, on ladders, personnel lifts, workboats, and awkward body positions.
