Key Responsibilities- You will complete HVAC system installations efficiently while maintaining the quality and customer service McCullough is known for.
- Diagnose issues of AC and heating systems and make recommendations when necessary.
- Work with and train any helpers which may be assigned to work with you.
- Carry out full AC and heating installation skills such as: equipment removal and installation of new, duct repair and/or replacement (fiberglass, flex, and metal), soldering, venting flues, refrigerant leak detection, and charging, recovering and reclaiming refrigerant, measuring refrigeration system parameters (gas pressures and temperatures, etc.), calculating static and CFM delivery, carrying out basic framing, roofing, plumbing, and electrical skills.
- At least 3 years of residential installation experience.
- Good communication, listening, and diplomacy skills when interacting with management, team members, and customers.
- Displaying a willingness to acquire new skills through internal and external training and development.
- Ability to work inside and/or outside for long periods of time, sometimes in extreme temperatures.
- Experience in duct system component fabrication (plenums) and installation, along with proficiency in using various duct tools and duct testing and balancing tools.
- Ensuring you possess the necessary hand tools, while the company provides equipment such as a vacuum pump and recovery machine.
- Possess EPA Certification for refrigerant: any additional industry-related certificates or training, are a plus.
- Qualifications from trade schools, NATE, BPI, NCI, or other industry certifications or training is a plus.
- Maintaining a quality control inspection pass rate of 90% or higher.
