What to Expect
We are seeking a skilled Fire Sprinkler Technician to install, maintain, and repair fire sprinkler systems at Gigafactory Texas. The ideal candidate has a deep knowledge of fire safety regulations, technical expertise, and a commitment to high-quality service. This role offers opportunities for growth in a dynamic environment.
What You'll Do- Comprehensive knowledge in OSHA, IFC, IBC, and NFPA standards and codes to ensure fire alarm, special hazards and water-based systems and life safety systems are code compliant
- Proficiency in programming and integration of Fire Alarm and Life Safety systems Honeywell Certified preferred
- Perform Semi-Annual inspections on special hazard systems NOVEC, CO2 performing full system functionality testing per NFPA
2001, NFPA
12, NFPA
72, and NFPA
11 - Troubleshoot fire alarm/special hazard circuits, wiring and devices with hand tools and voltmeter to address trouble/faults on fire alarm and life safety systems when necessary and repair faults
- Perform annual fire alarm inspections with full function testing of all initial devices detectors, pull stations, relays, modules and audiovisuals per NFPA
72 - Perform routine maintenance and quarterly/annual inspections on wet pipe, dry pipe, pre-action and deluge systems per NFPA
25 - Texas State FAL fire alarm license, FEL (extinguisher license), and/or RME sprinkler license preferred
- Fire Sprinkler Technician certification preferred
- Valid driver's license required
- Minimum 3 years of experience in fire sprinkler installation and maintenance
- Proficiency in reading blueprints and using hand and power tools
- Strong problem-solving, organizational, and customer service skills
- Physical ability to lift, climb, and perform tasks safely
- Willingness to work flexible hours and stay current with industry training
