You will document observations, support store teams, and provide customer service with integrity. Allied Universal is agile, reliable, innovative, and people-first, delivering through teamwork. This post requires Level III armed certification.

What You'll Do:
  • Provide customer service to guests, associates, and vendors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the retail location, sales floor areas, receiving areas, and exterior perimeter to help deter theft, vandalism, and unauthorized activity.
  • Maintain a visible presence at entrances, high-traffic areas, and parking areas to observe conditions and report suspicious behavior and/or policy violations.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including alarms, disturbances, medical situations, and other on-site emergencies.
  • Monitor camera systems and/or other electronic systems when assigned, and communicate observations to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision as needed.
  • Assist with access control by verifying identification, controlling entry to restricted areas, and managing visitor and vendor check-in procedures when assigned.
  • Prepare accurate, detailed reports and documentation of incidents, patrol activities, and policy violations, and preserve relevant information for follow-up.
  • Operate issued equipment, including radio communications and duty gear, in accordance with post orders, training, and applicable local requirements.
  • Coordinate with local law enforcement and/or emergency responders when needed, providing clear information and assisting with scene management until relieved.
  • Participate in required training, briefings, and post order updates, and follow escalation procedures to address developing situations.
Minimum Requirements:
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess Level III Armed Certification in Texas only.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
