IT Specialist
Introduction
The Security Professional is responsible for implementing and managing security programs that protect people, assets, and operations within their assigned territory. This role bridges strategic objectives with operational execution, ensuring compliance with corporate security standards while adapting to local business needs. The position requires strong leadership, risk management expertise, and the ability to collaborate across multiple functions.
Your role and responsibilities- Risk & Threat Management
- Conduct risk assessments and security audits to identify vulnerabilities and recommend mitigation strategies.
- Support acquisition and divestiture activities by evaluating security risks and requirements.
- Physical Security & Technology
- Oversee installation, maintenance, and optimization of security systems (CCTV, access control, alarms).
- Ensure adherence to corporate security directives and technology standards.
- Emergency Preparedness & Crisis Management
- Maintain and update emergency plans; train Crisis Management Teams and lead scenario exercises.
- Coordinate response during incidents and ensure timely reporting and resolution.
- Investigations & Compliance
- Plan and conduct investigations into theft, fraud, workplace violence, and other violations.
- Ensure compliance with local laws, regulations, and corporate security policies.
- Stakeholder & Vendor Management
- Collaborate with internal teams (HR, Legal, Real Estate, IT) and external agencies (law enforcement, emergency services).
- Manage vendor relationships to ensure effective and efficient service delivery.
- Reporting & Continuous Improvement
- Prepare reports on security status, incidents, and improvement initiatives.
- Participate in audits and contribute to security training programs for employees and management.
5-7 years of experience in corporate or industrial security.
Bachelor’s degree in Security Management, Criminal Justice, or related field.
Familiarity with security technologies (Genetec, Lenel, Amag, Symmetry) and modern physical security systems.
Strong leadership and communication skills; ability to influence stakeholders.
Analytical mindset with problem-solving capabilities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and security technology platforms.
Ability to work flexible hours and travel as needed.
- Certifications (CPP, PSP) preferred.
