Data and Reporting Analyst II, Groundwater Section

Work Schedule

As part of the Water Availability Division, work hours are generally standard business hours. The individual and work group schedule is determined by the TCEQ Water Availability Division.

Your Future Team

As part of TCEQ’s Office of Water, you would contribute to ensuring clean and available water and protecting Texas’ water resources.

As a Data and Reporting Analyst (DRA) in the Water Availability Division, you will join the Groundwater Section. The section is responsible for implementing the interagency Texas Groundwater Protection Committee, providing oversight of groundwater conservation districts, and providing legislative support for activities related to groundwater.

Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative support to the Texas Groundwater Protection Committee (TGPC). Present program information at TGPC meetings. Participate in TGPC subcommittees and help support the TGPC website.
  • Track projects and coordinate recordkeeping for program areas. Assist with records management in close coordination with other staff and management.
  • Participate in policy and team development, such as the development and maintenance of Standard Operating Procedures and guidance documents, as well as optimizing work processes.
  • Assist customers regarding the program through verbal communication, correspondence, data reports, presentations, and Public Information Requests.
Qualifications
  • Key Qualifications
  • Experience using software tools to conduct qualitative and/or quantitative analysis of datasets.
  • Experience handling and archiving formal records.
  • Experience analyzing, interpreting, and/or implementing statutes, rules, regulations, policies or procedures.
Education & Experience Qualifications
  • Data and Reporting Analyst II
  • Five years of full-time experience in conducting quality assurance and quality control of data, data review and reconciliation, data research, or data compilation; and/or data reporting work.
  • OR
  • A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with a major in basic science, computer science, environmental studies, mathematics, statistics, or a related field; plus one year of the required experience.
  • OR
  • A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university; plus, two years of the required experience.
