Datawatch Systems, Inc., a leading national provider of managed access control and emergency management solutions for over 30 years, is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to join our team in (market) and surrounding metropolitan markets in Austin and San Antonio, TX.
We offer a base salary, monthly commissions, benefits and paid time off. Excellent growth in income potential.

Location:
Austin and San Antonio, TX
Travel: 25%
Salary Range: $75,000/year plus commission
Responsibilities- Perform all business development activities in the assigned territory including assessment and identification of commercial real estate office buildings which meet the Datawatch market model by performing building inspections daily
- Identify the access control systems in place, determine key managers of the buildings (asset and property management, chief building engineer) and their contact information
- Identify ownership and decision‑making structure
- Build and manage a sales pipeline utilizing a Customer Relationship Manager (CRM) platform
- Keep a record of all prospecting and business development activities in the CRM
- Keep leadership informed on all relevant developments in pursuit of new business
- Serve as the face of Datawatch in the respective market(s) and build a credible business brand; activities include engagement with key industry organizations (BOMA, IREM, Chambers, etc.) and accepting leadership roles for maximum impact
- Generate new building and tenant sales in accordance with assigned quotas and meeting recurring monthly revenue and profitability requirements; grow existing accounts, provide direct oversight and customer service, and communicate effectively with peers and leadership
- Experience in business development and direct sales preferred
- Established presence within the Commercial Real Estate business community for the assigned territory, selling products and services in the asset and property management environment
- Professional etiquette
- Well‑developed oral, written, and presentation skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft applications and experience with a CRM platform
- Four‑year college degree preferred
- A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required
