About the OpportunityWe are currently seeking a talented individual to fill the role of Filtration Product Manager.
The Filtration Product Manager is responsible for driving the strategy and implementation of marketing and sales efforts for the Fluid Process SBU. This role will require strong coordination through the organization and working jointly with our key filtration suppliers while enhancing our product offering by attaining additional filtration suppliers for key markets.
Key Responsibilities- Directly responsible for filtration sales, development and training of sales teams, and communication of goals and objectives to internal resources.
- Develop a comprehensive market overview and sales plan, including key customers, to achieve sales growth objectives.
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of the products used within these applications and the associated market size.
- Develop and coordinate marketing and sales strategy to leverage the Sun Source value‑add solutions in these key customers and applications.
- Deliver results by identifying and creating opportunities and setting goals that deliver profitable growth.
- Maintain a general knowledge of developments with the filtration market.
- Engage in regular weekly cadence call updates and monthly or quarterly business reviews.
- Develop complete filtration product offering.
- Match product and technology to market and application demand.
- Keep up with new products and technologies.
- Identify products needed to pursue capital opportunities.
- Help manage, maintain, and grow strategic supplier relationships.
- Work with key suppliers to drive partnership between their teams and ours.
- Develop a strategic growth plan for filtration nationally across all market segments.
- Work with and through the sales teams and RSMs to drive sales activity and opportunities.
- Mentor and educate the sales team on where and how to sell filtration through planning and targeting sessions.
- Select products to fill a need, solve a problem, or displace a competitor.
- Travel to other regions nationwide for strategy, training, and joint sales calls.
- Develop and facilitate education and training content.
- Produce content for marketing campaigns.
- Develop sales aids and tools, e.g., Reed construction, project tracker, filter XREF matrices.
- Experience with integrating marketing efforts and communications.
- Strong technical skills in filtration applications.
- Ability to influence others through collaborative consensus‑building skills.
- Proven results developing strategies in areas such as developing relationships at the executive level, understanding how our technologies can apply to operations, and developing the appropriate approach to win new business.
- Team facilitation skills and relationship building to foster engagement and a culture of teamwork and trust.
- Great communicator (phone, email, text, in person).
- Enthusiasm and motivation essential in a fast‑paced, professional environment.
- Willingness to travel as needed within the assigned region.
- Education:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, sales or marketing. - Experience:
6+ years in the market space; demonstrated understanding of filtration systems and solutions within the commercial vehicle industry; ability to read and interpret schematics. - Knowledge and skills:
Ability to manage changing needs of Ryan Herco and the Fluid Process SBU with flexibility; focus on long‑range strategy amid short‑term pressures; foster relationships and generate enthusiasm for the selling experience; desire for a long‑term career in sales leadership or business development.
