We are seeking a driven, self‑starting Business Development Manager with a hunter mentality to identify, pursue, and close new business opportunities in the building remodel and new construction markets in the region. This role focuses entirely on new customer acquisition, building your own pipeline from the ground up and converting prospects into long‑term customers.
Key Responsibilities- Proactively identify and target new repair, remodel, and new construction business opportunities by developing and executing strategies for prospecting and cold outreach (calls, emails, networking, events).
- Build and manage a robust sales pipeline from lead generation through close.
- Conduct virtual or in‑person presentations, site visits, and product demonstrations.
- Collaborate with internal teams (Sales Director/Manager, Branch Manager, and local supply center teams) to ensure smooth onboarding of new customers.
- Meet or exceed sales targets.
- Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date CRM records and activity reports.
- Stay informed and report market trends, competitor activity, and industry developments.
- Successful sales history with a minimum of 2 years of outside sales experience.
- Proven track record of generating new business and consistently meeting/exceeding quotas.
- Experience with in the building materials industry is highly preferred.
- Bachelor's degree preferred but not required.
- Self‑motivated, disciplined, highly organized, customer‑focused.
- Proven experience in new business selling and upselling.
- Technical acumen with daily computer use, data entry, and navigation of technical environments (Microsoft Office Suite and practical experience with Salesforce).
