Territory: Austin plus Greater Central Texas, with occasional travel opportunities for events and account support in San Antonio, Houston, and DFW

The RoleThis is a boots-on-the-ground, relationship-first sales role focused on Austin and the surrounding Central Texas market. Your main job is building and maintaining meaningful account relationships, driving smart placements, and growing Jester King where our footprint is currently light.
We are a small self-distributing brewery. This is not a delivery position, but it is a role for someone who understands that sometimes you go above and beyond to support an account, solve a problem, or execute a key moment.
Austin is home base. If you’re hungry, there is real upside. There are opportunities to support and help grow our presence in DFW, Houston, and San Antonio through events, market support, and key account work, while staying primarily focused on Austin.
Qualifications- 3-5+ years of previous sales/distribution experience with strong knowledge of beer and the beer industry
- Strong Central Texas retail connections and network
- Advanced sales skills and expertise
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong understanding of beer styles and beer as a category, not just familiarity with Jester King
- Comfort working independently, staying organized, and managing a full territory
- Willingness to work nontraditional hours, including late nights, events, and some weekends
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Ability to move product, including cases and kegs
- Own and grow Jester King’s presence in Austin and surrounding Central Texas
- Maintain and strengthen relationships with key retailers, including H-E-B, Whole Foods, Twin Liquors, independent craft beer retailers, and other off-premise accounts
- Build new business in places where Jester King currently has limited distribution footprint
- Develop and grow on-premise placements by doing the real work, including opening bars, working late night events and activations, building restaurant relationships, and being present where decisions actually happen
- Grow and nurture on and off-premise accounts from the street level up
- Provide support and coordinate sales and deliveries with our self-distribution team
- Conduct ongoing brand training with retailers and account staff
- Conduct off-premise product samplings as needed
- Represent Jester King at beer festivals and events as needed
- Keep the details tight, including follow-ups, order accuracy, inventory and rotation awareness, and consistent account touchpoints
- We are product-first and detail-obsessed. If you cannot explain why a beer exists and what makes it worth carrying, you will struggle here. Accounts should feel more informed after talking to you.

- You will have autonomy with real responsibility. You plan your week, run your territory, and own outcomes.
- Late nights and events are part of the job. A lot of great on-premise work happens after hours, but professionalism and appropriate representation of Jester King is paramount.
