Overview
Oncology Specialist - RLT role ld-based and remote opportunity supporting key accounts in Austin, Abilene, Bryan, College Station, Midland/Odessa, Temple, Waco and surrounding area. Novartis does not sponsor relocation or visas for this position.
Key Responsibilities- Business ownership of prescribing and referring physicians, driving relationships and execution of business plans for territories, including disease education and product value propositions.
- Support product access, implement competitive response and pull-through strategies, maintain and grow key relationships with account partners in line with target priorities.
- Develop customized tools and strategies to engage HCP targets within territory accounts, delivering clinical value proposition and establishing RLT as partner of choice in community hospitals, academic hospitals and community oncology accounts.
- Display high self-awareness, passion for learning, inspiring others, challenging status-quo, and embracing change to optimize execution.
- Deliver clear and compelling messages to customers, handle objections, and close calls with commitment to action.
- Demonstrate deep understanding of territory market landscape, competitors, product and clinical data, anticipating environmental changes to optimize execution.
- Execute call-plans to achieve goals, improve access and sales opportunities, promoting a highly technical product portfolio to a sophisticated audience.
- Use sales data reporting tools to understand trends, coupling with customer insights to identify growth opportunities.
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree a plus.
- 3+ years’ experience in specialty pharmaceuticals, biotech, or similar sales role within last 5 years.
- 1+ years’ experience in oncology, urology, nuclear medicine, medical devices or complex therapeutics.
- 1+ years’ experience in prostate, NET or buy‑and‑bill therapeutic experience within last 5 years.
- Strong collaboration, cross‑functional teamwork, clinical product communication, and high performance track record.
- Self‑starter with analytic abilities to prioritize relevant information and solve problems ethically.
- Residency within territory or reasonable daily commuting distance of 50 miles; travel 60‑80% over broad geography; valid driver’s license required.
- Experience with multiple product launches.

Compensation SummarySalary range: $151,200 – $226,800 per year. Final salary determined by skills, experience and reviewed periodically. Includes performance‑based cash incentive and equity awards. US‑based employees receive comprehensive benefits (health, life, disability, 401(k) with match, vacation, personal days).
