About the role

The Account Executive, SMBSLED role at Ninja One is responsible for closing new business by selling Ninja One’s products to targeted accounts in our SLED space. Ninja One AEs spend 100% of their time engaging with interested prospects, managing sales cycles to help potential customers evaluate our product, and closing revenue. No prospecting, as we leave that to our world-class SDR and marketing teams.

This role will contribute significantly to the success of Ninja One. You will be responsible for closing small to mid‑size deals and helping Ninja One win within the State & Local Government and Higher Education (SLED) segment.

Location

- Austin, TX - Hybrid (in office on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday - plus additional days as required)

What You’ll be Doing
  • Qualify prospective accounts to build and maintain an up‑to‑date pipeline of prospects in order to achieve annual sales goals
  • Negotiate opportunity terms, discounts, and implementation with leadership approval for below‑threshold discounts
  • Conduct demos and presentations with prospects
  • Manage sales cycles to help potential customers evaluate Ninja’s product and closing revenue
  • Provide accurate forecasting to sales leadership regularly
  • Navigate the sales process aligning to SLED prospects and budget to revenue forecast
  • Other duties as needed
About You
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent experience
  • 2-5 years of sales experience, preferably with SaaS products
  • 1+ years experience selling into SLED is highly preferred
  • Excellent communication and problem‑solving skills
  • Polished presenter with the ability to demo and navigate technology easily
  • You have confirmed negotiation skills, are a self‑starter, and a strong closer with a history of successful over‑quota performance
  • Well‑organized with a proven ability to multitask, carrying on multiple deals simultaneously to close
  • Works well with a team
  • Experience using Salesforce is highly preferred
