Customer Service Associate - Temporary

The Customer Service Associate – Temporary position at Walgreens provides a friendly, courteous and efficient checkout and customer service experience in a dynamic retail environment.

$15.00/hr - $17.50/hr

• Model and deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience.
• Register sales on the assigned cash register and provide courteous, fair, friendly, and efficient checkout service.
• Engage customers by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services; resolve issues and answer questions.
• Showcase customer service best practices and Walgreens service traits (proactive help, identifying needs, serving until satisfied).
• Recommend items for sale, trade‑ups and companion items.
• Process voids, returns, rain checks, refunds and exchanges.
• Keep counters and shelves clean and well merchandised, take inventory, manage stock rotation and compliance with store policies.
• Maintain displays, promotional and seasonal, and complete resets as directed.
• Assist with photo area customer service (passport photos, prints, etc.) and web pick‑up responsibilities.
• Assure compliance with state and local laws for regulated products (alcoholic beverages, tobacco).
• Implement asset protection procedures and protect company assets.
• Maintain respectful relationships with coworkers and comply with all company policies.
• Complete special assignments and other tasks as requested.

• Attend training and complete problem/path learning (PPL) as requested by Manager or assigned by corporate.

• Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico).
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekend hours.

• About six months of experience in a retail environment.
• Prior work experience with Walgreens.
