Team Lead – Salvation Pizza Restaurant – Austin Bergstrom Airport – $19.35/hr
Shift Supervisors ensure guest satisfaction through proper training of employees and adherence to company SOPs. They make sure team members perform a variety of tasks, from preparing food and stocking supplies to serving, cash‑out procedures, Micros and Data Central training, cleaning tables and counters, resetting/bussing tables, greeting guests, and answering questions. They commit to supporting the mission by demonstrating service standards at all times and holding all team members to the same.
Providing a safe work environment of trust and respect free of harassment is expected.
- Lead and develop team members by embodying a positive image, courteous service, and a smile for customers and peers.
- Maintain professional company image by adhering to grooming and uniform guidelines.
- Maintain company standards for food, beverage, service, and atmosphere while building positive customer relations.
- Serve as a role model and provide accessibility to staff while developing leadership and motivational skills.
- Support staff morale and training, including scheduling.
- Effectively lead the restaurant when the Manager or Assistant Manager is not present.
- Assist with food, beverage, labor‑management costs, receiving, storage, and inventory management.
- Delegate duties, assign tasks, and follow up with all team members.
- Ensure cleanliness, organization, and safety throughout the restaurant.
- Assist with cash‑out procedures and POS training.
- Demonstrate commitment to getting the job done; work weekends, holidays, and peak periods as required.
- Practical supervisor experience in the hotel/restaurant industry preferred.
- Proficiency in restaurant functions: food planning, purchasing, sanitation, security, company policies, personnel management, recordkeeping, and reporting.
- Serv Safe Food Manager’s Certification or equivalent.
- Ability to work unsupervised, take direction, and collaborate in a team environment.
- Good communication skills and capacity to work independently.
- Strong self‑motivation, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Effective under stress and tight deadlines.
- Ability to work various shifts in a 7‑day, 365‑day team‑oriented environment.
- Excellent customer service skills and effective communication in English.
- Proficient reading, writing, and math skills in English.
- Physical ability to lift at least 25 lbs, stand, bend, reach, grip, climb ladders, and walk long distances.
- Comfortable working in varying temperatures.
