• Location:
  
  Dell Children's Medical Center - 4900 Mueller Blvd, Austin, TX 78723. Online applications only.
• Schedule:
  
  Monday – Friday, 6:00 am to 2:00 pm (some weekends). Full‑time.
• Requirement:
  Prior experience in baking and cooking required.
• Pay: $18.00–$19.00 per hour.

Prepares baked goods according to recipes and production specifications.

• Bake breads, pies, cakes, cookies and other pastries as necessary per production and catering sheets; assist in production planning to meet daily requirements.
• Ensure proper food preparation by utilizing approved recipes, following prescribed production standards and using appropriate equipment.
• Complete production records, track waste, used/unused portions and product shortages; inform supervisor when supplies are low.
• Ensure proper presentation, food quality, portion control and maintenance of proper serving temperatures.
• Maintain sanitation and orderliness of all equipment, supplies and utensils within work area.
• Handle food items appropriately and in accordance with all safety regulations during preparation and service.
• Clean equipment and workstation thoroughly before leaving the area; keep display equipment clean and free of debris.
• Interact with customers and resolve complaints in a friendly, customer‑service oriented manner; relay relevant concerns directly to supervisors.
• Consistently demonstrate ability to keep up with peak production and service calmly, accurately and efficiently.
• Check that all food is presented, served and displayed per standards.
• Follow sanitation and safety principles to meet corporate and OSHA requirements.
• Complete shift work as assigned in a timely and thorough manner according to department standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
