Role DescriptionThis is a full-time, on-site role for a Sous Chef located in Austin, TX. The Sous Chef will assist in daily kitchen operations, including food preparation, presentation, and ensuring food safety standards are met. Responsibilities include supporting the Executive Chef, supervising kitchen staff, overseeing inventory and sourcing, and maintaining high standards of quality and consistency in meal preparation. The role requires collaboration with team members to provide outstanding dining experiences.
Qualifications- Extensive experience in food preparation and culinary techniques, including plating and presentation
- Knowledge of food safety, hygiene practices, and compliance with health regulations
- Strong leadership, team management, and supervisory skills in a kitchen environment
- Proficiency in maintaining inventory and sourcing high-quality ingredients
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
- Formal culinary training or a degree in Culinary Arts is preferred
- Previous experience in healthcare or hospitality food services is a plus
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
