PT Bartender / Barback
Our bartenders are the face of our brewery and the soul of our taproom. We’re looking for folks that know there’s more to it than just tending bar. – the best-of-the-best know how to see the big picture. You’re here because you are that bartender – the beer-loving, cocktail-shaking, knowledge-dropping, friend-making person that makes the Meanwhile experience matter.

OUR PT Bartender / Barback...
- Passionate about craft beer and desire to know more about the brewing process.
- Informed with regards to upcoming beer releases and descriptors.
- Can mix a mean cocktail (or 20).
- Works as a team and maintains an open channel of communication
- Upholds the Meanwhile culture, values, and vibe.
- Ability to multi-task and keeps cool under pressure.
- Checks opening inventory and denote any shortages or changes.
- Sets up bar and seating areas before opening and resets after guests leave.
- Records all sales exactly.
- Changes taps on empty kegs.
- Keeps Meanwhile clean & organized
- Reports any problems or potential issues to the Manager on duty.
- Maintains the security of all bar supplies and products.
- Assists with the maintenance of facility and taproom equipment.
- Understands that the job role is always changing, developing, & expanding.
REQUIREMENTS TO APPLY
- This is a part-time, hourly position – that’s 15-25 hours each week.
- Your schedule must be flexible and open, including nights and weekends.
- Prior experience as a bartender/beer tender in a high volume establishment would be great but certainly not required.
- Spanish or ASL language skills are a major plus.
- You have to understand and follow safety, sanitation, and food handling procedures.
- A valid Texas TABC Bartender License is required before working on your first shift.
- You have to be able to stand for long periods – reaching, bending, stooping, and frequently lifting/rolling 55-165 pound kegs also come with the job.
