Barista - Moon Tower Cafe at AT&T Hotel and Conference Center

The AT&T Hotel’s F&B Team is seeking a barista for the Moon Tower Cafe located in Rowling Hall. The role involves taking customer orders, preparing espresso-based drinks and related food and beverage items, and ensuring adherence to food safety and hospitality standards.

• Monday‑Friday: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM (the cafe follows the university schedule, closing when students are not in class)

• Maintain accurate production pars and inventories in the customer service and merchandising areas.
• Prepare espresso orders and catering orders using standard measures, recipes, and portion guidelines.
• Complete production and par lists, pre‑meal checklists, requisitioning and waste lists.
• Adhere to policies and procedures to ensure consistency in the guest experience.
• Enter orders accurately into the POS device, process cash and charge payments, and make change. Follow reimbursement procedures.
• Manage cash drawer, ensuring compliance with overage/shortage standards.
• Replenish condiments, beverages, and supplies while maintaining a clean service area.

• Ensure proper presentation, portion control, and maintaining serving temperatures following HACCP standards.
• Maintain sanitation and orderliness of equipment, supplies, and utensils.
• Handle foods appropriately during preparation and keep display equipment clean.
• Clean equipment, workstations, and workspace thoroughly as assigned.

• Represent the company courteously, efficiently, and friendly in all customer and employee interactions.
• Ensure customer satisfaction by greeting customers, serving orders quickly and accurately, and explaining menu items.
• Escalate relevant comments and resolve complaints in a friendly, service‑oriented manner.
• Maintain attractive merchandising of display foods according to standards.

• Follow corporate and OSHA safety standards.
• Handle food and equipment safely and clean up spills immediately.
