The Texas Center for Pediatric and Congenital Heart Disease (TCPCHD) invites applications for a Postdoctoral Fellow position. This position will be assigned for 1 year from the start date, renewable based upon availability of funding, work performance, and progress toward goals, with the option to continue for up to 5 years.
We are currently accepting Postdoctoral Fellow position for Summer 2026. This position will not begin until Summer 2026
Dell Medical School is unable to provide visa sponsorship for this role. Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States and remain authorized without the need for future visa sponsorship.
PurposeThe Postdoctoral Fellow will work collaboratively with investigators in the Heart Center to generate analyzable clinical data to better understand and improve the patient and family outcomes of those diagnosed with Congenital Heart Disease.
Responsibilities
Conduct clinical research under the mentorship of academic clinicians in the TCPCHD.
Participate in the various aspects of clinical and translational research projects, including study design and development, IRB submission, informed consent, data collection and analysis, abstract submission, data presentation, and manuscript preparation as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Doctoral degree, MD or PhD received within the past 3 years. Experience with the use of electronic medical records and clinical data. Self-direction, critical thinking skills, and ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team. High computer proficiency, including basic MS Office, MS Access, graphics, and database software. Basic project management and statistical analysis knowledge.
Preferred QualificationsExperience in Cardiology or Congenital Heart Disease clinical research. Expert skills in statistical analysis, i.e R Studio, SAS along with experience in coding, i.e. MATLAP, Python, etc.
Salary Range$61,008+ depending on NIH level
Working ConditionsMay work around standard office conditions.
Repetitive use of a keyboard at a workstation.
