Clinical Lab Operator Austin, TX

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist in testing patient samples according to SOP.
• Meet expected performance metrics.
• Maintain updated understanding and knowledge of methods performed in the lab.
• Provide guidance for new team members.
• Follow GLP: maintain clean and organized workspace.
• Complete training and deadlines on time.
• Recognize and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and processing errors per SOP.
• Document and report protocol deviations to lead/supervisor.
• Communicate with team and other departments via e‑mail and other platforms.
• Provide feedback on schedule and tasks to lead/supervisor.
• Assist teammates in completing daily tasks.
• Maintain equipment and instruments in good operating condition (calibration, expiration).
• Maintain inventory of material, supplies, equipment.
• Participate in continuous improvement projects (TAG, 5S).
• Conduct oneself professionally.
• Adhere to departmental expectations.
• Work with PHI and complete HIPAA/PHI privacy training within first 30 days; maintain current Natera training status.
• Pass post‑offer criminal background check.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• BS/BA in biological science or related field.
• 0‑2 years of industry‑related experience.

• Excellent interpersonal, communication, computer, and technical skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Word processing and data management.
• Ability to work well in a group.
• Ability to discern color visually (or evaluate cellular morphology) and pass applicable screening assessment.
