The Postdoctoral Fellow will advance research in microelectronics thermal management and advanced packaging, engaging in both applied and fundamental research while collaborating with a team of engineers and scientists on cutting‑edge heterogeneous integration.
Responsibilities- Conduct and lead applied and fundamental research in microelectronics thermal management and advanced packaging.
- Serve as part of a larger team of engineer‑scientists working on cutting‑edge advancements in heterogeneous integration.
- Perform other related functions as assigned.
- PhD received within the last 3 years in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related discipline with a focus on heat/mass transfer, fluid mechanics, and interfacial sciences.
- Experience with experiments and modeling (traditional CFD modeling).
- Experience with finite element analysis and/or software packages such as COMSOL or ANSYS.
- Familiarity with microelectronics packaging and heterogeneous integration is a plus.
- Familiarity with reliability characterization is a plus.
$70,000 + depending on qualifications
Working Conditions- Personal protection equipment (furnished).
- May work around standard office conditions.
- May work around chemicals.
- May work around electrical and mechanical hazards.
- Repetitive use of a keyboard at a workstation.
- Use of manual dexterity (e.g., using a mouse).
- Monday – Friday. Specify whether schedule is 8 am to 5 pm, or flexible between 7 am and 6 pm.
