Job Details:Purpose
Responsible for coordinating the day-to-day activities of research assistants and participants within a 5-year NIH funded study examining the effects of behavioral and environmental factors (sleep, activity, and environmental pollution) on cardiovascular risk and brain vulnerability in young Latinas.
Responsibilities- Maintain study documentation and regulatory requirements.
- Assume primary responsibility for participant recruitment, retention, and scheduling, including community outreach efforts.
- Trained to do data collection in emergency situations, though that will not be their primary responsibility.
- Willing to be trained in MRI safety and data collection, phlebotomy and assay processing and deployment of wearable devices and environmental sensors.
- Create and maintain study related SOPs and keep detailed records monitoring the scheduling and performance of research assistants.
- Supervisory duties may include up to 10 research assistants.
- Maintain local databases and oversee integration of dense sensing and other data.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's Degree in Biomedical Sciences, Sociology, Public Health, Nursing, Psychology, a closely related field, or its foreign equivalent;
Spanish and English fluency. - A minimum of 2 years of experience in research and/or program administration.
Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.
Preferred Qualifications- Some previous work coordinating a research study in a community setting.
- Experience with research related regulatory documents/requirements, sensors/wearable devices, and recruiting participants for biological and environmental sampling.
- Master's Degree preferred in Biomedical Sciences, Sociology, Public Health, Nursing, Psychology, a closely related field, or its foreign equivalent.
