Leasing Agent

Seeking a Leasing Agent who is responsible for assisting the property manager in maintaining all aspects of property operations, with a concentration on leasing, marketing, resident relations, and community functions. The Leasing Agent strives for 100% occupancy through retention of existing residents, leasing current availability, and pre-leasing of future availability.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following: Other duties may be assigned.

• Interviews prospective tenants and records information to ascertain needs and qualifications.
• Completes lease form or agreement and collects rental deposit.
• Handles electronic and manual bookkeeping functions, credits renter account for receipts, and debits account for disbursements such as upkeep and maintenance costs for assigned property.
• Requests issuance of check for monies due residents.
• Prepares vacancy, occupancy, traffic reports, and turnover schedules for internal use and external agency compliance.
• Coordinates moving, inspections, dealing with tenant issues, and related items.
• Inspects condition of premises periodically and arranges for necessary maintenance.
• Assists with eviction of tenants in compliance with court orders and directions from supervisor.
• Responds to emergency calls and situations as required.
• Communicates and interacts with residents individually or in groups as required.
• Compiles listings of available rental property.

Qualifications:

• Experience in working with LIHTC/Tax Credit/HUD/Section 8 regulations/forms.
• Yardi or comparable property management software knowledge preferred.

Wage:

$19.00-$21.00 per hour DOE
