WhatYou’ll Be Doing
The Supplier Quality Auditor reports to the Supplier Quality Manager and is responsible for planning, conducting, and reporting supplier qualification and surveillance audits to ensure Nutrabolt’s co-manufacturing and warehousing partners meet regulatory, quality, and company standards. This role supports product safety, regulatory compliance, and overall quality performance across Nutrabolt’s global supplier base. It also oversees pilot, scale-up and commercial manufacturing and secondary or tertiary pack-out of finished product.
A strong understanding of NSF certification, Certification for Sport, Food Safety regulations, and Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) best practices is required.
- Plan, schedule, and execute supplier qualification, surveillance, and requalification audits in alignment with company policy and regulatory expectations.
- Evaluate new and existing partners for compliance with cGMP, FSMA, HACCP and other applicable regulations.
- Document, communicate, and follow up on audit findings through formal audit reports and CAPA management systems.
- Support lifecycle management of approved suppliers by contributing to risk assessments, performance monitoring, and recertification efforts.
- Maintain supplier profiles, audit documentation, and approved supplier lists within the Quality Management System, ensuring all necessary records are kept on file and regularly updated.
- Partner with internal teams to address supplier non-conformances through investigation, corrective, and preventive action (ECAR) processes.
- Oversee vendor risk ratings to ensure continuous assessment of quality and compliance posture.
- Support licensing partner programs and coordinate with licensors to ensure suppliers meet specific brand and regulatory approval standards.
- Provide onsite quality oversight during audits, pilot runs, and initial production activities as required.
- Assist co-manufacturers with regulatory and compliance readiness, including mock recalls, traceability exercises, and record reviews.
- Support internal stakeholders (R&D, Procurement, Sales) by completing customer questionnaires, portals, and documentation requests.
- Prepare monthly audit performance summaries and risk reports for management review.
- Ensure all responsibilities align with SOPs, cGMP, and Nutrabolt’s quality system standards.
- Represent the Quality department in cross-functional projects related to supplier performance and regulatory compliance.
- Oversee a dynamic project portfolio to ensure attainment of business goals, including prioritization and agile processes to meet timelines.
- Analyze product data and collaborate with Contract Manufacturer to investigate and troubleshoot out of specification results, track deviations, and drive reduction efforts.
- Compile performance metrics to assess program and product effectiveness, quality adherence, and improvement actions.
- Participate in projects as assigned, acting as contact with other departments and communicating regularly with direct management regarding status and timeline.
