Veterinary Student Externship
Urgent Vet Hospitals offers a 3‑week externship for 3rd and 4th year veterinary students enrolled in a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine program. The program is scheduled in 2‑week blocks at our hospital, providing a hands‑on learning experience under direct supervision of seasoned veterinary staff.
Department: Urgent Vet Hospitals
Location: Urgent Vet – Belterra
- Perform inpatient and outpatient medical care under direct supervision.
- Conduct in‑house diagnostic tests (hematology, chemistry, radiology) with competence.
- Assist in surgical procedures.
- Provide routine client education.
Participants must be currently enrolled in an AVMA‑accredited Doctor of Veterinary Medicine program.
