Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Shock Trauma ICU – Texas

Start Date: March 16, 2026

Location: Austin, Texas

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: Night shift, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM, 13-week contract, no on-call required

Highlights:

• 10-bed Shock Trauma ICU specializing in critically ill trauma patients
• Patient ratio of 1:2 or 1:1 depending on acuity
• Utilize Meditech EMR and current equipment including GE bedside monitors and Alaris pumps
• Collaborative night shift team with charge nurse and experienced RN staff
• Advanced critical care procedures including EVDs, arterial lines, central lines, and chest tubes
• Permanent position opportunities available for qualified candidates

Requirements:

• Current RN license in Texas or compact state eligibility
• Trauma ICU or Surgical ICU experience strongly preferred
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Preferred certifications: TNCC or CATN
• Demonstrated ability to perform comprehensive patient assessments and documentation
• Strong teamwork skills and ability to remain calm under pressure
