Overview
Texas Oncology is seeking a Full‑time Clinical Research Nurse (RN) to support our Austin Midtown location. The position is Monday‑Friday 8:30 AM‑5:00 PM, with no weekends, on‑call or major holidays. Depending on experience, the role will be Level 1, Level 2, or Senior.

What does the Clinical Research Nurse do?The RN provides care for patients receiving cutting‑edge oncology treatments, manages their journey through clinical trials, and supports professional development opportunities such as tuition reimbursement and annual bonuses for oncology‑certified nurses.
ResponsibilitiesThe essential duties and responsibilities include:
- Work closely with physicians to identify and screen potential patients for clinical trial participation.
- Present trial concepts and details to oncology patients while conducting the informed consent process.
- Assess patients for adverse events and/or changes in condition.
- Provide staff and patient education regarding the management and administration of investigational product.
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation and data entry to meet trial requirements.
- Serve as a liaison between clinic departments to ensure proper trial conduct.
Level 1
- Graduate from an accredited nursing program (BSN preferred).
- Current RN license in the state of practice.
- Current BLCS or ACLS certification required.
- Minimum 1 year of RN experience.
- OCN certification strongly preferred.
- CCRC or CCRP certification preferred.
- Oncology experience preferred.
Level 2
- Minimum 3 years of nursing experience, preferably in oncology.
Level Senior
- Minimum 7 years of nursing experience, preferably in oncology.
The work environment includes exposure to communicable diseases, toxic substances, ionizing radiation, and other conditions common to an oncology/hematology clinic.
Physical RequirementsFull range of body motion, handling and lifting patients, manual and finger dexterity, eye‑hand coordination, standing and walking for extended periods, occasional lifting up to 40 lb, corrected vision and hearing to normal range.
